For Faculty

The Office of Undergraduate Studies performs several services for both students and faculty, including the facilitation of a number of committees and advisory boards committed to the constant improvement of the university's undergraduate programs.

Unifying Theme

When UCF asked students what they care about, undergraduates responded with a clear, unified voice: the environment, specifically Global Climate Change. UCF undergraduates are passionate about creating a just and sustainable future, and that passion is the driving force behind making The Environment and Global Climate Change the Unifying Theme

The General Education Program at UCF expands and enhances a broad range of academic skills to develop confident, well- prepared students who present a reasoned voice in a global community. The Unifying Theme was created to focus discussion and reflection across a variety of intellectual experiences, conversations, and curricular and extracurricular activities. The Environment and Global Climate Change as the Unifying Theme will encourage UCF undergraduate students to engage in an interdisciplinary and academic discourse about Global Climate Change, potential solutions, and possible student action. UCF students have marked Global Climate Change as more than an academic topic—it’s a cause to which they are deeply committed, and education is an important first step.

The Unifying Theme is supported by the Office of Undergraduate Studies. If you are interested in submitting information, resources, or just wish to know more, please contact us or visit www.unifyingtheme.ucf.edu.
