CLAST (College Level Academic Skills Test)

The CLAST (College Level Academic Skills Test) is an achievement test that measures communication and mathematics skills in four subtests: Essay, English Language Skills, Reading, and Mathematics. It is required by the State of Florida that all students seeking an Associate of Arts or Baccalaureate degree from UCF satisfy the CLAST requirement.

Students who have completed 18 or more credit hours are eligible to take the CLAST.
Test takers can meet the CLAST requirement in two ways:
1. By taking and passing the four CLAST subtests, or,
2. By meeting the CLAST alternative criteria for one or more sub-tests.

The Student Academic Resource Center (SARC) offers CLAST math tutoring along with a variety of study guides, computer software, and videos to help you prepare for the CLAST exam. Workshops for preparation to take the math portion of the CLAST are also available through SARC.

SARC is located in Howard Phillips Hall, room 115. Please call 407-823-5130 for additional information about these services.
